Rob started his career on the Tube way back in 1966 - the year England last won the World Cup! The London Underground has seen considerable change in the intervening years . The tube train driver has experienced many changes - not least in the tube train stock and in working practices. Politics of course play their part and never more so than in recent times, with the Underground a 'political football' in the life of Londoners. Modernisation is needed as nobody can deny, but just how this will be acheived and just as importantly who will pay, are questions that will keep the tube in the news for years to come. This then is a good time for us to look at life on the system and to learn more of what it is like from the inside!
